    About the consultation

The Nest invited all Australians to have their say about what is important for children and young people growing up in Australia.

Here's what they said: The Nest consultation

The ideas from this conversation were combined with a major evidence review, so that we can build a national action plan for children and young people.

    Who joined the conversation?

    The Nest spoke with:

    • children and young people (up to 24 years of age)
    • parents, carers, grandparents, and other family members
    • people who work with children and young people
    • people with an interest in shaping the best possible future for children and youth

The Nest iworked with groups and organisations that help and represent children, young people and families.  Consultation partners worked with the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) to run activities across Australia between March and August.
